Fur and leather are great materials to create decorations with. From medieval times humans used animals fur for their homes. At first the main purpose for fur was to keep you warm during the cold nights. But from epoch to epoch the purpose changed.
Fur or leather?
Nowadays we can use fur for sofas, pillows or even as a carpet, it only depends on what style you have decorated your home. It’s not necessary to be real leather, it can be ecological. You may appreciate this type of leather because it’s cheaper than authentic leather and it cause no harm. Also, there are a variety of models from which you can choose.
Be careful when you choose fur or leather for decorations because it has to be in accordance with the whole room. For the floor it’s preferred to use big fur pieces that resemble with real ones. Maybe a white fur carpet for Nordic design or an animal print if your house is more colored.
Pillow cases made from leather – you may use black or brown leather for your pillow cases or colored synthetic fur. It will bring an interesting and distinguished look to your room. Also, they are really cozy and can be used in any situation.
Use them as wall decorations – this practice is well known from hunters. Often they are hanging on their wall animal fur as trophy’s. But, again, you can use a fake one. Just hang an artificial tiger fur up on your wall and see how much that can change the overlook of your room. If you’ll use small pieces you can even frame them. You can make some rustic frames using wood sticks or for a more interesting design use a gold plated frame. It will look luxurious and expensive. Take notice, this kind of decorations are great if the wall you are using it’s big and the whole thing won’t look overcrowd.
